Feeder Guide
Feeders are an essential part of R&R. Understanding how to feed and keep scores is important to keeping the flow of the game and players engaged.
Before you start, use this video to get an idea of LVBL rules and the role of the feeder.
📅 Before the Event
- Confirm with the Host that you will be feeding
- Respond in the Host & Feeders WhatsApp channel
- Understand your role
- You will help feed, keep score, and manage game flow
- Note:
- 4-6 feeders for 2 court
- 6-9 feeders for 3 courts
🎾 During the Event
Getting Started
- Arrive on time to help with warmups
- Be ready to explain and demo R&R rules
- Plan to feed 1–2 baskets
Feeding
- Start each point with a controlled, playable feed
- Keep a steady pace—feed quickly after each point
- Have the next ball ready Adjust feeds based on player level
Game Flow
- Keep players rotating correctly
- Direct players clearly between points
- Call out instructions when needed (e.g., score, rotate, off) Keep the game moving and organized
Scorekeeping
- Call the score clearly before each point
- Scores are kept from the challengers perspective
- Fix any confusion quickly and move on
General Expectations
- Stay attentive and engaged
- Keep energy positive and the environment fun
- Help maintain a smooth, continuous game
✅ After the Event
- Collect all balls and equipment
- Help reset courts if needed
- Check in with the host before leaving
